Natasha was born in Mumbai, India on April 6,1988 to Ananda Mohan Das and Vrndavanesvari Devi Dasi. Natasha obtained her spiritual name 'Nandarani' from H.H. Gopala Krishna Gosvami in 1998. She started her spiritual journey in New Delhi in 1991 along with her mother. Nandarani would travel at the tender age of three in the severe cold of New Delhi to attend satsangas and festivals at the ISKCON temple. On one such occasion she was fortunate to receive the blessings of His Holiness Gopala Krishna Gosvami. Later, the family shifted back to Mumbai. Nandarani would begin her day by being woken up to the sounds of Radhe Radhe, which she would repeat with sleepy eyes. She would water the tulasi plant, apply tilaka, and then go to school with Hare Krishna wishes from her parents. She was quite good at her studies. Nandarani grew up in the environment of the Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari temple in Juhu. She was the charm of the devotees. She loved them and enjoyed serving them. She developed a deep taste for spiritual life. She had a sharp memory and the parents don’t recollect teaching her any slokas. She would hear them and memorise them. At an early age she knew the Damodarashtaka, Gurv-ashtaka, Vaishnava songs, Tulasi-arati, Nrsimha prayers, Guru-vandana, Gaura arati and many slokas from the Bhagavad-gita. She was always eager to perform devotional service. Nandarani would write articles, and would prepare children's quiz for the Juhu temple’s newsletters and Janmashtami souvenir. She was a creative child. She would read “Srila Prabhupada Nectar” and prepare for the competition on “Srila Prabhupada Appreciation.” Her enthusiasm for performing devotional services was commendable. She would always cook for Srila Prabhupada's disappearance day at Vrindavana. She used to enthusiastically distribute Srila Prabhupada's books during the Gita distribution marathon in December each year. She did Vrindavana and Govardhana parikramas bare foot many times. Nandarani was chanting ten rounds of Hare Krishna mahamantra daily. Every year she would increase one round on Gaura Purnima day. On September 15, 2001 Nandarani left this material world in an unusual way. She was throttled by a security guard of the residential complex. Nandarani lived an entirely pure and blissful spiritual life in Krishna consciousness till she left the body. Visit Website : www.nandarani.com
